Passionate and accomplished leader brings British charm to the Ocean Prime team
PHILADELPHIA (July 28, 2014) – Ocean Prime is pleased to announce Lydia Turner as the modern American supper club’s new general manager. Garnering 13 years in the hospitality industry, Turner brings passion, leadership and British charm to the Ocean Prime family. Evident in her recent advancement to general manager of Ocean Prime Philadelphia, Turner values the power of a positive attitude, importance of guest interaction and commitment to being a strong mentor for her associates.
Prior to joining the Ocean Prime team, Turner held the position of general manager at Figo Pasta, where she earned the award for “Most Personable” teammate. Originally from Oxford, England, she graduated from Oxford and Cherwell College with a license in cosmetology as a qualified makeup artist, beauty therapist and advanced masseuse as well as one year in A-level business studies.
t the age of 19, Turner began her career in hospitality working for Lancôme Cosmetics, where meeting people’s needs and expectations inspired her to go above and beyond in the industry. “My main focus is to help others identify their positive qualities because I believe people that feel good about themselves will be better team members in the end,” Turner says.
