Cameron Mitchell Restaurants’ Newest Restaurant Location Opens July 11 with Experienced Leadership
COLUMBUS, Ohio (June 13, 2017) – Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) announced today the executive leadership team for its newest Cap City Fine Diner (Cap City) location, which is set to open July 11 in Bridge Park, Dublin’s newest urban, walkable neighborhood. Todd Kessler, of Hilliard, and Frank Hess, of Northwest Columbus, will serve as executive chef and general manager, respectively.
“We are beyond excited to open a third location of Cap City Fine Diner, which has become a staple for many Columbus diners, and know that both Todd and Frank are excited to become an extension of the Dublin community,” said David Miller, CMR president. “Both have strong leadership styles and experience and we are confident they will lead their teams to continue the Cameron Mitchell Restaurants’ tradition of excellent service and warm genuine hospitality.”
Todd Kessler, executive chef
Kessler has nearly two decades of professional experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry, working at restaurants in Ohio, North Carolina and Florida. He joined the CMR team in 2012 as a sous chef and most recently served as the executive chef at Cap City’s Gahanna location. Kessler earned a culinary arts degree from Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Frank Hess, general manager
Hess joined the CMR team in 1999 and his roles over the past 18 years have included dining room manager, sous chef, assistant general manager and sommelier. He most recently served as Ocean Prime Philadelphia’s general manager. As a member of the Court of Master Sommeliers and a Level 1 Sommelier, Hess brings extensive wine knowledge along with his gracious hospitality to ensure that every guest has an unforgettable experience while in his dining room. He graduated from Columbus State Community College and received a degree in hospitality management.
Hiring
Hiring for the newest Cap City location is currently underway. Kessler and Hess are looking for candidates who have at least six months of hourly experience working in the restaurant and hospitality industry as well as open availability. The leadership team is still looking to fill several positions, including servers, bartenders, host/esses, line cooks, server assistants and general utilities. More than 90 associates are expected to be hired, with training beginning on June 26, 2017.
Cap City will be open daily for lunch and dinner as well as brunch on the weekend. The restaurant’s hours will be from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday. For more information, visit CapCityFineDiner.com.
