Cameron Mitchell Restaurants’ Newest Concept Opens in Mid-January With Experienced Leadership

COLUMBUS, Ohio (January 2, 2015) – Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) today announced the executive leadership team for its newest concept, The Guild House, which is set to open January 15 in the Short North Arts District. John Paul Iacobucci and Amberlyn Heiney will serve as executive chef and general manager, respectively.

“John Paul and Amberlyn are outstanding leaders with extensive experience in the fine dining and hospitality industry,” said Cameron Mitchell, CMR founder and president. “I am proud of this extraordinary team who will continue the company’s tradition of excellent service and warm hospitality, while introducing guests to our newest concept.”

Iacobucci has a passion for cooking with fresh ingredients, making every dish shine with unique flavor. As an avid gardener and desire to use freshly-picked vegetables and herbs, Iacobucci said The Guild House’s menu will incorporate seasonal offerings that are regionally and globally inspired.

He started his career at Martini Modern Italian (Martini) in 2009 as a line cook. Iacobucci worked his way up in the CMR family as sous chef at Ocean Prime Dallas and then came back to Martini in Columbus as the sous chef and then promoted to executive chef.

Heiney began her career at CMR in 2007 at Marcella’s as a server and began her track in management, gaining experience as a dining room manager, bar manager and assistant general manager. She then opened The Pearl as general manager in 2013.

“There aren’t two more deserving professionals who will make our newest concept, The Guild House, a success in the Short North,” said David Miller, CMR executive vice president. “Both exemplify the career opportunity at Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, from starting as line cook and server, to holding management positions at various CMR concepts.”

The Guild House is an artisan eatery featuring creative American cuisine and proudly sourcing locally-grown ingredients, whenever possible. CMR chefs collaborated creating seasonal offerings that are regionally and globally inspired, with an artistic technique in an energetic and inviting space. Repurposed wood, local art and contemporary accents lend to The Guild House’s cosmopolitan character – suitable for revelry or relaxation.

The Guild House will feature seating for more than 140 guest, including unique dining spaces, a bar and a private dining room for up to 10 guests. The restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
