Guild Series Gin Now Available At The Guild House
COLUMBUS, Ohio (August 6, 2015) – Cameron Mitchell Restaurants’ (CMR) The Guild House in partnership with Columbus-based Watershed Distillery is excited to announce the launch of a new signature gin. The Guild Series Gin, served exclusively at The Guild House located in the Short North Arts District, is a citrus-forward gin distilled from grain and fruit with a post maceration of chamomile.
“Embracing our guests’ interests in the sourcing of local items, we wanted to create a signature spirit second to none which led us to local distillery Watershed,” said Ryan Valentine, CMR’s director of beverage. “The project was built around our partnership with Watershed and included our group of beverage and culinary artisans. We’re excited to offer the Guild Series Gin, a softer, more feminine style of gin showcasing bright citrus flavors.”
Gin has a distinctive personality and is gaining popularity in beverage selection and mixology across the United States. The Guild House and Watershed Distillery experimented with different botanicals before finding the botanical mix that proved to be the perfect combination for Guild Series Gin.
The flavor of the Guild Series Gin is voluminous, confident and has an unexpected earthiness, which blends beautifully with the brightness of the citrus and sweet boozy dips of juniper and spice. The main ingredients in the botanical mix are juniper, coriander, various citrus peel highlighted by tangerine and is infused with chamomile.
“The Guild Series Gin is the third gin we’ve brought to market,” said Greg Lehman, co-founder, Watershed Distillery. “We are really proud of the final product and excited to hear the reactions to this gin.”
The Guild Series Gin becomes the sixth spirit Watershed has released since the distillery was founded in 2010. In addition to Guild Series Gin, the distillery offers Vodka, Four Peel Gin, Bourbon Barrel Gin, Bourbon and Nocino.
The Guild House opened in January 2015 and is located at 624 N. High St. in Columbus. The restaurant is an artisan eatery featuring creative American cuisine with an artistic technique made with seasonal ingredient offerings that are regionally and globally inspired. The Guild House is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is adjacent to boutique hotel Le Meridien Columbus’ the Joseph.
