Cameron Mitchell Restaurants’ Newest Concept in Grandview to be Led by Restaurant Veterans

COLUMBUS, Ohio (November 10, 2015) –Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR), announced plans today to open The Avenue Steak Tavern (The Avenue) in early February 2016, in the heart of Grandview at 1307 Grandview Avenue.

The Avenue encompasses a 4,830-square foot space and will accommodate 100 guests in the dining room, 35 in the bar area and 24 on the patio.

The approachable neighborhood restaurant will offer mouthwatering appetizers, steaks, salads, sandwiches, seafood and pasta, as well as classically inspired cocktails. The wine menu will be a carefully-selected collection of Old and New World Wines.

The Avenue Leadership Team
Kristen Luff will serve as The Avenue’s general manager. Luff has more than two decades of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry and has been in the CMR family since 1999. Most recently she served as the general manager of M for seven years. Under her leadership, M was honored with the AAA Four Diamond Award seven times.

Jeff Lindemeyer will serve as The Avenue’s executive chef. Lindemeyer has enjoyed cooking since he was a young child and started working in restaurants when he was 15 years old. After earning a culinary arts degree from Pennsylvania Culinary Institute in 2000, Lindemeyer joined the CMR family and has since helped open several concepts. He most recently served as the executive chef at Cameron’s American Bistro in Worthington.

Hiring for hourly associates, including servers, bartenders and line cooks, will begin in early December 2015.
