Cameron Mitchell Restaurants redesigns M ahead of 18th anniversary
COLUMBUS, Ohio (June 18, 2019) – Cameron Mitchell Restaurants is excited to announce M at Miranova’s grand reopening today after a three-week remodel. Aligning with the 18th anniversary of M in July, the restaurant is unveiling a new atmosphere and menu that continues the tradition of fine dining excellence.
Located at 2 Miranova Pl., M is an elite Four Diamond property, as designated by AAA. It also was awarded the 2018 Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence.
“Our Four Diamond restaurant shines even brighter today with some of the exciting changes we have made,” said David Miller, president and COO of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants. “When M first opened, it was truly cutting edge and unlike anything Columbus had seen and today is no different. Our relaunch of M will be with the same vision – our commitment to excellence is unwavering.”
Cameron Mitchell Restaurants transformed the space with a stunning re-design, featuring a stylish new bar and lounge, perfect for happy hour drinks. Guests will enjoy new cocktail creations such as the Magic Elixir and the You Met your Matcha, which were developed by the M beverage team led by award-winning bartender, Cris Dehlavi, who was voted best bartender in Columbus by 614 Magazine for 10 consecutive years.
In addition, guests will love the dreamy new terrace, offering unrivaled views of downtown, where they can relax and enjoy the genuine hospitality for which Cameron Mitchell Restaurants is known.
More than 18 years ago, Senior Vice President of Food and Beverage and Executive Corporate Chef Brian Hinshaw was part of the team that opened M at Miranova. Now he has the unique opportunity to be part of the team that is refreshing the iconic restaurant.
“We wanted to remodel M to keep it fresh and relevant,” said Hinshaw. “We’ve added cool plates and glassware and have completely gutted the space. The bar banquette is gone, the space is wide open, and our terrace is a focal point. It looks like a brand-new restaurant.”
“In our travels throughout the United States and Europe, we noticed outstanding service that wasn’t stuffy and great food prepared quickly and that inspired us,” said Hinshaw. “Our goal is to make fine dining more approachable and quicker with a fun twist on presentations. When the food hits the table, it will be a work of art.”
Led by Executive Chef John Paul Iacobucci, the culinary team at M spiced up their award-winning menu – 80 percent will feature new, artistic dishes inspired by the team’s world travels: caviar with crème fraiche, quail egg and red onion gastrique; fried chicken with sweet corn cheese pudding, pickles and hot sauce; and skuna bay salmon with forest mushroom spring onion tart, sweet corn and a cedar lemon cream. They also put a fresh spin on guest favorites such as the Chilean sea bass. Plus, guests can now sample special seasonal offerings with the new tasting menu.
“At M, we really want to showcase a vast array of culinary flavors and advanced technique,” said Ian Rough, corporate chef for Cameron Mitchell Restaurants. “Our new menu encompasses contemporary American- to Pacific Rim-influenced cuisine with strong attention to detail on every dish.”
After 18 years of fine dining excellence, M enters this new phase of life, under the leadership of experienced General Manager Joe Hahn.
Open Monday through Saturday for dinner, the redesigned concept introduces the next generation of fine dining to central Ohio. For more information or to book a reservation, please visit www.matmiranova.com or call 614.629.0000.
