Heather Buck will join respected industry professionals on Multicultural Foodservice & Hospitality Alliance Advisory Board
COLUMBUS, Ohio (November 1, 2017) – Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) is proud to announce that Heather Buck, the company’s director of training and guest services, has been named to the Advisory Board of the Multicultural Foodservice & Hospitality Alliance (MFHA), an educational nonprofit that helps individuals and organizations build their Cultural Intelligence.
“We’re extremely proud of Heather for her nomination to the Advisory Board of MFHA,” said Chuck Kline, senior vice president of operations, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants. “Diversity and cultural inclusiveness are important to us at CMR and we could not think of a better person to represent our company on this initiative.”
MFHA’s Advisory Board is comprised of respected and accomplished Diversity Champions. The companies represented by these individuals have shown their outstanding commitment to multicultural initiatives and they have been active members and supporters of MFHA and its mission.
“I am honored to join a group of accomplished professionals who share a common goal of building a culturally diverse hospitality industry,” said Buck. “I look forward to working closely with MFHA to actively support the organization’s mission.”
Growing up in a military family, Buck experienced cultures and cuisine from all over the world and learned the value of culturally-inclusive communities. She first discovered her passion for hospitality at the young age of 16, working as a dishwasher at her father’s Air Force base. After graduating from Eastern Illinois University with plans of becoming a history teacher, she found herself continuously drawn to the hospitality industry.
Buck joined the CMR family in 2004 and in her current role, she fosters the company culture of delivering genuine hospitality through training and educating associates and driving positive guest experiences.
