Cameron Mitchell Restaurants will open the location on August 9 following renovations

COLUMBUS, Ohio (August 9, 2018) – Cameron Mitchell Restaurants is pleased to announce the re-opening of the Grandview location of its popular Cap City Fine Diner and Bar concept. The restaurant, located at 1299 Olentangy River Road, has recently been undergoing renovations and will re-open to the public at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 9.

The remodeled restaurant boasts a total of 5,156 square feet, which includes a dining room space with seating for 202 guests as well as 75 seats on its spacious, outdoor patio.

Among the remodel’s highlights include: redesigned interior to accommodate seating flexibility for larger parties, updated seating including the addition of more booths, upgraded lighting, expanded patio, as well as an overall ambiance package to enhance the dining environment for guests. The remodel also adds a second and true diner counter and additional parking spaces.

Cap City serves classic comfort food redefined. The menu includes classic diner favorites with unexpected and delightful upscale twists, alongside trendier chef-driven dishes with big flavors. Signature dishes include:

Daily Blue Plate Features, including Monday’s Shrimp and Grits, Thursday’s Flat Iron Pot Roast and Saturday’s Braised Beef Short Rib

• Blue Cheese Potato Chips: Cap City original prepared with blue cheese, chives and Alfredo sauce
• Smoked Salmon Spread: everything bagel chips, deviled egg, horseradish pickles
• Baked Italian Chicken Sub: crispy chicken breast, marinara, salami, and provolone, with shredded iceberg, red onion, tomato, banana peppers, and Italian dressing
• Cap City Diner Meatloaf: served with buttermilk-chive mashed potatoes, wild mushrooms, broccoli, chili onion rings and BBQ gravy
• Pecan Crusted Pork Chops: served with cheddar-chipotle mashed potatoes, candied pecans, spinach, shallots, and an apple cider glaze
• All American Cheeseburger: served with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and mayo on a sesame seed bun with a choice of cheese
• Thanksgiving Day Sandwich: roasted turkey breast, house-made stuffing and cranberry mayo piled on a toasted buttermilk bread

Cap City’s beverage menu features hand-crafted, classic cocktails like Margaritas and Manhattans, along with its famous boozy shakes. The restaurant is also known for its retro cool desserts including the Seriously Big Chocolate Cake, 24K Carrot Cake and Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Pie.

Cap City will be open daily for lunch and dinner as well as brunch on the weekend. The restaurant’s hours will be from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday.
