COLUMBUS, Ohio (March 2015) – Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) announced today that Bill Denhard and Alex Schultz have been named as the new general managers at Hudson 29 Kitchen + Drink in Upper Arlington and Martini Modern Italian in the Short North, respectively.

“I know both associate teams will grow and learn from them,” said David Miller, executive vice president, CMR. “Both Alex and Bill have had successful careers with us and their sound leadership style, with their own genuine hospitality, will provide great impact for both properties.”

Both Denhard and Schultz will be responsible for managing daily restaurant operations and be tasked with ensuring guests are satisfied with their dining experience, as well as associate relations. Denhard leads a team of 65 associates at Hudson 29 and Schultz leads a team of 55 associates at Martini.

Denhard is a nine-year CMR veteran. In 2006, he started as a server at Cap City Fine Diner & Bar in Gahanna while he was studying at Columbus State Community College and worked there for a year and three months before he was offered a management position at Molly Woo’s Asian Bistro, where he gained valuable experience for two years. Denhard then helped open Marcella’s Italian Kitchen in Scottsdale, Ariz., in 2009. He returned to Columbus in 2011 to work at Marcella’s at Polaris on the management team for 2.5 years. Most recently, Denhard served as the beverage manager at Hudson 29 prior to his promotion as general manager. Denhard and his wife, Lisa, reside in Westerville with their two daughters.

While Schultz was earning his Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management at The Ohio State University, he worked at Mitchell’s Ocean Club in the kitchen for 1.5 years. Schultz also has held various positions within casual and fine dining restaurants, including front of house supervisor, dining room manager and general manager. Recalling his days where he enjoyed working at Mitchell’s Ocean Club, Schultz returned to the CMR family in 2008 to serve as the dining room manager at Cap City in Gahanna. He has also held management positions at Molly Woo’s and Mitchell’s Ocean Club. In 2012, he transferred to Ocean Prime Indianapolis to support the restaurant opening where he served as assistant general manager, and most recently, as general manager. Schultz and his wife, Lauren, live in Grandview.
