Cameron Mitchell Premier Events to manage Museum’s new Lino restaurant, serve as exclusive caterer
COLUMBUS, Ohio (February 9, 2015) – Taking the art of food to new levels, Cameron Mitchell Premier Events (CMPE) and the Columbus Museum of Art (CMA) have announced a new culinary partnership. CMPE will be the CMA’s exclusive caterer and will also manage the Museum’s new restaurant, Lino, creating a unique culinary and events destination for central Ohio.
“The Museum has a commitment to creativity that impacts everything we do,” said CMA Executive Director Nannette V. Maciejunes. “That’s why we are thrilled to choose Cameron Mitchell Premier Events, known for their creative dining experiences, as our culinary partner.”
“The Columbus Museum of Art offers an unparalleled cultural experience to both local residents and visitors,” said CMPE Director Melissa Johnson. “We are excited to expand upon our more than 10-year partnership with the Museum, and we will make sure that we provide a culinary masterpiece served with our signature hospitality every time whether guests are dining in the restaurant or enjoying a special event.”
As part of the Museum’s expansion project, a new restaurant, Lino, will open in the fall 2015. The 2,200 square-foot bistro will appeal to frequent Museum visitors and to those interested in special event opportunities. Located on the first floor, the restaurant will open onto the Museum’s beautiful sculpture garden and will feature the work of glass master Lino Tagliapietra, for whom the restaurant is named.
In addition to managing the restaurant, CMPE will also handle all culinary activities for the Museum to create innovative dining experiences. CMPE will be developing and hosting cooking classes, wine events and other special gatherings throughout the year.
