It’s wonderful working for a company that encourages us to always say “yes” to our guests whenever possible. Our philosophy is always, “The answer is yes. What is your question?”
This ideology makes my job so much more uplifting and fulfilling. I love to have the freedom and encouragement to do whatever it takes to make sure our guests have an unforgettable experience while dining at our restaurants.
I can remember once, a server, Jaimee, learned from her table that the two ladies were celebrating their new “birthday,” which was commemorating the end of their first year of breast cancer remission. Jaimee was moved by these ladies, so she asked if we could buy the check for them as a gesture from her. Because I work for a great company that says “yes” I was able to do so, and the women were so touched they cried and hugged Jaimee and myself. The culture at CMR is such that I am able and even encouraged to say yes to these simple requests – and it feels amazing to know you’ve made someone’s day better.
