Award-winning restaurant adjacent to Inn on Fifth
Ocean Prime, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants’ award-winning modern American restaurant and lounge, is now open in Naples, Florida. Located at 699 5th Ave. South in the heart of downtown Naples, the 8,000-square-foot restaurant is adjacent to the Inn on Fifth, a Forbes 4-star and AAA Four Diamond Inn.
Ocean Prime is renowned for its prime seafood, steaks, handcrafted cocktails and a Wine Spectator-honored wine list in a captivating ambiance with signature genuine hospitality. The restaurant is open seven days per week, and lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. and dinner is served daily starting at 5 p.m. Enjoy Happy Hour weekdays from 4-7 p.m. featuring specially priced small plates, sushi rolls and specialty cocktails. On Saturdays and Sundays, brunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Live music is featured on Wednesdays through Sundays from 6-11 p.m.
At Ocean Prime, VIP treatment is standard. Ohio-based company founder and CEO Cameron Mitchell embraces the company’s mid-western roots, placing the highest value on their associates.
“Our associates are our priority because when they are inspired and feel appreciated, it sets the stage for delivering genuine hospitality, memorable food, beverage and guest service,” said Mitchell. “We are proud to bring our award-winning culinary experiences to guests in the heart of Old Naples’ celebrated entertainment, dining and shopping district.”
Ocean Prime Executive Chef, Jason Mallon, pairs the finest prime steaks with the freshest seafood and features the highest quality ingredients in each made-from-scratch dish. The menu features lighter fare such as a shellfish cobb salad and sushi, as well as more indulgent entrees like the smoking shellfish tower, juicy steaks and decadent desserts. Chef Jason was most recently sous chef at Ocean Prime Tampa.
Ocean Prime Naples seats approximately 280 guests and features two private dining rooms to accommodate more intimate gatherings and celebrations. The Lounge is a welcoming, relaxing space for guests to enjoy expertly created cocktails handcrafted by talented bartenders, the freshest, most delicate and impeccably sourced fish and sushi, providing a total seafood experience.
In addition to being a dining destination, engaging in the community is a priority for Ocean Prime, according to Rick Giannasi, General Manager at Ocean Prime Naples. Giannasi recently moved to Naples from Brevard County, Florida where he helped to lead dining operations at Ocean Prime Orlando.
“Giving back is a big part of who we are, and Ocean Prime is especially focused on organizations dedicated to children, hunger and education,” said Giannasi. “Very quickly, we’ve witnessed the gracious generosity of the Naples community, and it’s both humbling and inspiring. We look forward to sharing our hospitality, time and talents with our neighbors and we are extremely grateful for the warm welcome extended to us.”
The new restaurant is a remodel by Mark Knauer, President and Founder of Chicago-based Knauer Incorporated, a longtime CMR partner. Each Ocean Prime location is designed to reflect the local culture, and Knauer has designed the restaurant to bring out the modern sophistication and style that has made Naples one of the nation’s top luxury travel destinations, according to several national consumer publications.
Ocean Prime Naples is an impressive, warm and inviting space that lends itself to a sense of importance to any beverage or meal. Brown and wood tones are accented with coral, giving a pop of color to the Naples location. A sailboat and water images are locally inspired, and photography from Naples photographer Gareth Rockliffe adorns the dining room walls. Existing art from the former occupant, Avenue 5, has been reframed by Native Visions, a gallery in Naples. Additionally, abstract paintings from Chicago-based artist Lydia Cash will be displayed in the private dining rooms.
The luxe, high-energy restaurant features wall-to-wall sliding doors that can be opened during Naples’ ideal weather conditions for al fresco dining. A wrap-around center bar and floor-to-ceiling wine display are highlights. A coral sculptural element is very prominent in this design, dividing the bar from the front dining room. At the entry, the glass wall is a sculpture of water droplets beading on vertical trickles of water running down a sheet of glass.
Overall, the restaurant evokes a sophisticated energy where guests are as comfortable sharing memorable celebrations and group private dining events as they are in grabbing a quick bite and drinks with friends.
