COLUMBUS, Ohio (April 15, 2015) – Ocean Prime Detroit is excited to announce that Louis Morgan III has been named as the restaurant’s new general manager. Morgan brings more than a decade of industry experience and has been with the company since 2012.
“We are excited to bring a proven industry veteran like Louis on board as general manager of Ocean Prime Detroit,” said Mark Weiss, regional director, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants. “Louis possesses the skills and background we look for in a leader and he will be a huge asset to this team.”
As general manager, Morgan strives to ensure guests enjoy an exceptional dining experience while overseeing daily operations of the restaurant.
Morgan found his talent working for restaurants and the hospitality industry more than 10 years ago. In 2004, he began working at Carrabba’s Italian Grill as a server and a trainer for four years. Morgan was offered a management position at P.F. Chang’s Indianapolis in 2008 where he gained valuable management experience for four years before joining the Cameron Mitchell Restaurants family in 2012.
Morgan started at Ocean Prime Indianapolis as a server and a bartender before relocating to Ocean Prime Detroit to work as a supervisor and dining room manager in 2013. With his recent promotion to general manager, Morgan now leads a team of nearly 100 associates.
“I am thrilled to be leading Ocean Prime, with a team that will continue the Cameron Mitchell tradition of excellent service and warm hospitality,” said Morgan. “This is an exciting time for our restaurant as we recently announced the addition of new menu items, like sushi rolls, and wine events to further enhance the guests’ experience.”
Four delectable sushi rolls have recently been added to Ocean Prime Detroit’s menu, including: the Somerset Roll, Lobster Roll, Dynamite Roll and Tuna Roll, ranging from $16 to $18. The Somerset Roll features tempura shrimp mixed with cream cheese, scallion and beef Carpaccio. Sure to be a favorite at Ocean Prime is the Lobster Roll with poached lobster tail paired with kiwi, picked serrano, masago and spicy mango puree. The Dynamite Roll features tempura shrimp with spicy mayo and sesame seeds. A classic Tuna Roll, spicy tuna with avocado and cucumber rounds out the menu.
