Seasoned Ocean Prime leader brings global culinary inspiration to Atlanta

ATLANTA (August 14, 2014) – Ocean Prime is pleased to announce the return of executive chef Jason Shelley to Atlanta. After embarking on a year-long adventure across Spain, Shelley brings his expertise and newfound global culinary inspirations back to the restaurant where he led the kitchen since its Atlanta debut in 2011.

A natural leader, Shelley helped establish the modern American supper club as a premier, fine dining restaurant in the heart of Atlanta’s prestigious Buckhead neighborhood. “Atlanta is an international restaurant market with an incredible array of dining options,” said Shelley. “My goal is to help Ocean Prime put its mark on Atlanta by delivering great food and genuine hospitality.”

Prior to moving to Georgia, Shelley also opened the Ocean Prime Orlando location as executive chef. He first joined the Cameron Mitchell Family in 2004 at Mitchell’s Ocean Club in Columbus, Ohio, where he worked his way up from middle station cook to sous chef. Originally from Pittsburg, Pa., Shelley began his culinary career in his hometown at Atria’s Restaurant where he worked as a line cook. Since he first entered the industry, his passion and enthusiasm have grown in preparing a variety of cuisines and he is looking forward to the continuation of that growth with the Ocean Prime team.
