Cameron Mitchell Restaurants is committed to fostering the next generation of restaurateurs. Our $3.5 million pledge helped bring the new Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts building to the Columbus State Community College campus in 2019, further elevating Columbus’ growing reputation as a culinary and hospitality center.
The state-of-the-art facility features 11 teaching kitchens and labs, a bakery, culinary theater and more. The full-service Degrees restaurant and Blend Café provide opportunity for students to practice their culinary skills.
Mitchell Hall doubles Columbus State’s enrollment capacity to 1,500 culinary students, allowing even more budding chefs and restaurateurs to pursue their dreams. In addition to other CMR initiatives such as Budd Dairy Food Hall, we are excited to support rising stars in the hospitality industry with the tools needed to succeed.

At Degrees restaurant, you’ll find familiar favorites with a gourmet twist. We invite you to join us for lunch and dinner at Columbus State’s campus in the heart of the Discovery District. Here, students in our award-winning culinary arts program work with industry professionals to deliver carefully crafted food and outstanding hospitality.

It’s the perfect place to grab a bite and meet a friend in the heart of the downtown Discovery District, all while supporting the wider community.
