March 19, 2020 Update:

This is, without a doubt, one of the most incredibly difficult times we have ever faced at Cameron Mitchell Restaurants. Like you, I am heartbroken and am anxiously awaiting the end of this global health crisis so that we can return to business as usual and invite you, our loyal guests, to dine with us once again.

Although we fully understand and agree with the actions of governors and public health officials to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and flatten the curve, the devastating impacts rippling through the restaurant community due to this situation cannot be overstated.

Our Associates are the backbone of CMR, and I am deeply concerned about their well-being during this unprecedented time. We are currently working with a core group of company leaders  to identify  ways  we can support our Associates. I’m glad to share with you that CMR has established an Associate Relief Fund. We will be donating 100% of online gift card sale proceeds, from today through March  31, 2020, to this fund.

We will divide the fund proceeds evenly among our 4,000 Associates, and each Associate will receive a check in early April. While we can’t predict how much we will raise, we hope this effort will help them put food on their table during this time.

On behalf of CMR, thank you for considering purchasing a gift card before the end of the month to support our Associates. We look forward to welcoming you to your favorite CMR restaurant as soon as we’re able to reopen our doors. Our Great People Delivering Genuine Hospitality will be excited to greet you once again.

My wish for you and your loved ones is to stay healthy, to care for each other and to be strong as we navigate these uncharted waters together.

Thank you for your support of our team. Your Raving Fan,

Cameron Mitchell, Founder and CEO

(March 14, 2020) Update:

Keeping our associates, guests and communities safe and healthy always matters. Caring for and serving others is at the core of all we do. At Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, we’re taking all appropriate and necessary steps to assure you and your loved ones can continue to enjoy our genuine hospitality.

We know you have concerns, and we want to share with you how we are taking care of our associates and guests in response to COVID-19 (the coronavirus).

Our restaurants are open for business, and based on what we know at this time, and the work we have done to prepare and respond, we are confident we can continue to support our associates and to safely welcome guests to our locations across the U.S.

Here are some things you should know:

We’re committed to keeping you safe

  • Keeping our restaurants clean is something we do every day and is part of the ongoing work of our teams. Our robust restaurant safety program already includes comprehensive safety training for associates, and we ask independent experts to provide third-party audits of our locations to make sure we’re meeting those high standards.
  • We have put additional measures in place above and beyond our already strict processes for cleaning and sanitizing.  These measures exceed the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) guidelines.
  • All surfaces are being deep cleaned with CDC-approved disinfectant – and this happens each and every time a table is used.
  • Hand sanitizer is available in multiple locations in every restaurant, including at our guest service desk, lobby, restaurant, heart of house (kitchen) and restrooms.
  • We are being mindful of how many people we have in our restaurants and overall occupancy levels, as well as adjusting as needed the distance between tables in our dining rooms, private dining rooms and patios.

We’re continuing to care for our associates

  • We are educating our associates about illness, reminding them of our reporting expectations and strictly enforcing sick policies.  Associates with ill family members also are being encouraged to stay home.
  • All associates who are traveling internationally, effective 3/16/2020, will not be able to return to work until two weeks following the return of their trip.
  • We are identifying ways we can best help those associates who are ill and unable to work.  If any of our associates experiences a reduction in hours, they will not experience a change in their CMR health coverage due to a lower average of hours.

Looking Ahead

We have assembled a team of experts who are helping our executive team stay on top of the latest COVID-19 news in all markets where we do business. This will assure we can swiftly respond to changing situations and provide the safest possible environment for our associates and guests.

We’re still here for you

We know these are the most challenging of times, and our team of great people delivering genuine hospitality is fully committed to helping our communities get through it. Our doors are open, and our entire team of associates is ready to warmly welcome you to our restaurants.

We hope you will continue to join us for a meal when you need a moment of relief and normalcy, and know that we will be firmly focused on making sure your time with us is safe, while providing the memorable Cameron Mitchell Restaurants experience you know and expect.
