Scofflaw cocktailThis cocktail is said to have been created in 1924 by a bartender named Jock at Harry’s New York Bar in Paris as an homage to the denouncers of Prohibition in the United States at the time. A combination of the terms ‘scoff’ and ‘law,’ a scofflaw was someone who openly mocks or ridicules a law – particularly one (like the banning of alcohol) that is difficult to enforce.


  • 1 oz. OYO Rye
  • 1 oz. OYO Bourbon
  • 1 oz. Dolin Dry Vermouth
  • ¾ oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
  • ¾ oz. Pomegranate Grenadine

Preparation Procedures:

  1. Combine all ingredients to a mixing glass.
  2. Shake well with ice.
  3. Strain into chilled coupe glass.
  4. Garnish with Flamed Orange peel.
